Why Create CAST BOOKS? (READ INFO UNDER THE DISCUSSION TAB)
1. You will need to give yourself a log in and password before you can access the site.
2. Once logged in view the "EXPLORE SHARED BOOKS LIBRARY" OR "EXPLORE MODEL BOOKS" sections. Make sure you have at least 30 minutes to examine the selections!
3. Read over the BOOK IDEAS and FEATURES thoroughly! The HOT TIPS section will give you information on adding enhancements to your books.
Your Assignment:
*You will create a story with the CAST UDL Book Builder. Your activity will be included as a resource for you and your classmates for future use in classrooms when student teaching, and, when you have your own classroom.
*The story can be written in any genre and must be a minimum of 5 pages.
*Be sure to include a variety of story/thinking prompts (coaches) on each page such as reading COMPREHENSION strategies (text p.194-197 or Cast Site, Reading Comprehension)
*Also include a glossary.
*SAVE THE BOOK AND PRESENT IT TO THE CLASS via your wiki page. *Directions for saving and posting the book on the wiki are posted under the discussion tab at the top of this page.
*Make sure that any graphics you use do not violate copyright. Give credit where credit is due. You may take or draw your own pictures if you prefer!
